Stayed at Vida Boa Lodge and honestly loved it!!! The lodge itself literally has everything you could want. THE BEST yoga lessons, a gym, super comfortable day beds, delish food, and the best strawberry daiquiris— we actually spent two full days (out of 5) just hanging out there because there was no need to leave!! The overall vibe is social in a really easy, natural way. You end up chatting to people over breakfast or by the pool without it ever feeling forced —plenty of spots to chill, chat, or just do your own thing. The location turned out to be ideal. It’s a little outside the centre, but in the best way. You get this peaceful, scenic base and a stunning 15–20 minute walk into town or to the beach (take the cliff path—trust me). Perfect mix of calm retreat and easy access to all the good stuff. One thing I’d absolutely recommend: ask the hosts for advice on activities or even just must do’s in the area or best beaches. They know the area inside out and only send you to people who actually deliver a great experience – they even take the stress out of booking it and can do this all for you! Some other guests booked their own kayak tours and surf lessons and had totally different experiences (not in a good way…), while everything we did through Lily was spot on. She’ll tell you what’s worth it and what’s a total waste of time and tourist trap.. we definitely made use of this local knowledge with beaches and restaurants too! Overall, just a genuinely great place to stay—great people, great food, great location, and staff who actually care that you have the best time and become your friends! Already booked for next year before we even checked out!! Can’t wait to be back!

I had the most amazing stay at Vida Boa Lodge! The lodge is beautiful, peaceful, and so well cared for. Our room was super comfortable and clean. Everything about the place makes you feel relaxed and at home. The hosts were so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfasts were fresh and delicious - such a great way to start the day before exploring the area. I can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely be coming back next time I’m in Portugal!

Absolutely loved my stay at Vida Boa Lodge! This place is a hidden gem! Lily was the most incredible host, nothing was too much to ask, and she made sure I felt super comfortable as I was travelling solo. The rooms are beautiful, fully stocked bathrooms, and amazing buffet breakfast is served daily. The pool/dining outdoor area is so inviting. It’s a great spot for having a pool side snack, an evening drink and catch up with all the other guests. The town is a short walk away, full of restaurants and bars, and not to mention the stunning Luz beach. I can’t wait to return to Vida Boa Lodge this summer!

Perfect stay at the lodge. Staff is incredibly kind and caring, everything is clean, nothing to say except that i’ll come back for sure!

Everything about our stay was perfect. The sunsets from our balcony were breathtaking. The lodge and location were great but the staff and owners made the experience exceptional. Thank you to Lilly, Edianes and Adriele. We had so much fun and can’t wait to visit again.

DAMN, I had one of the best times of my life here, it doesn't really feel like a hostel, it's like a budget luxury stay, you have your daily breakfast while talking to your new friends, doing daily activities nearby + the pool and jaccuzi... just heaven. I have only experienced hostels like this in Mexico but this was next level, since there aren't many rooms, so it felt super intimate and just nice... I would totally go back next I'm in the area. 10/10...

Jeune couple, nous venons de passer 5 nuits au Vida Boa Lodge et tout était super ! Nous avions notre chambre et salle de bains privée, rien à redire sur la propreté ni sur l’emplacement. Tout y est : espace aménagé pour faire du sport avec tout le matériel nécessaire, table de ping pong, espace plus cosy dans le salon avec possibilité de regarder Netflix, Prime Vidéo. Un petit déjeuner copieux nous a été préparé avec la plus grande attention tous les matins sur la terrasse, au menu fruits frais, yaourt, viennoiseries, pancakes, gaufres… L’ esprit auberge de jeunesse est bien présent, nous avons fait de belles rencontres et gardons de supers souvenirs de notre passage au VBL ☀️ + coup de cœur pour le personnel ultra bienveillant, attentionné et disponible pour nous aider à sélectionner les meilleurs restaurants et activités de la région. A must stay when you are in the Area. I had 5 amazing days of relaxation at the big pool of the lodge, beach days at beaches nearby and wonderful sunsets. I stayed in the 8 Bedroom dorm. The bed has been really comfy, the bathrooms are good and Lily and her staff are lovely and able to help you with everything.

I stayed for a few days during the middle of September and it was one of the best hostel experiences I’ve had. The rooms are clean and really comfortable, bathroom situation is great, the common areas inside are big and very nice, and the outdoor space is insane. There is a bar with affordable drinks and food, massive pool where you don’t have to fight for chairs, a pretty stocked outdoor gym, ping pong… And the people were great. The owner, Lily, is very nice and always joining conversations. Not to mention cooks breakfast every morning for everybody and organizes activities and little trips in the area. The other staff is very friendly and always helpful. Not sure you can find a better hostel, and the value for what you pay is crazy high.

Maravillosa estancia en el Vida Boa Lodge. La villa es espectacular, las habitaciónes muy cómodas y funcionales y la limpieza de las mismas y de los baños impecable. La piscina es espectacular, con camas balínesas y hasta un jacuzzi aparte. Hay un gimnasio muy completo para ejercitarse. Puedes recibir clases de Yoga estupendas de por un módico precio. No se puede pedir más, he estado más a gusto y cómodo aquí que en muchos hoteles de 4 estrellas. El desayuno de la mañana es muy completo y servido en verano en la terraza al aire libre lo hace mas agradable aún. Para que un alojamiento reciba esta merecida puntuación tan alta hay que referirse a las personas que trabajan allí. Lily la manager, dispuesta en todo momento a atender las necesidades del huésped, y que decir de Adriele y Edianes, sirviendo el desayuno por la mañana con su maravillosa y súper acogedora sonrisa y manteniendo la limpieza de las habitaciones y baños impecables. Ellas tres hacen de Vida Boa un lugar más esspecial si cabe. Si vas al Algarve , el Vida Boa hará que tu viaje sea aún más especial.
